STOCK DIVIDEND is a dividend paid in stock rather than in cash. The additional shares can be in the form of a stock split, additional shares of the issuing company, or of a subsidiary.

EX-DIVIDEND DATE is the first date a stock trades without dividend, usually four business days before the record date.

In securities, insiders are such persons who are controlling shareholders, directors, officers, managers and employees, including spouse, parents, siblings and those under the control of insiders as well as persons induced by such persons who come into possession of material inside information.
