YELLOW SHEETS is a daily publication of the National Quotation Bureau that details the bid and asked prices and firms that make a market in corporate bonds traded in the over-the-counter market. Yellow Sheets are to bonds what pink sheets are to unlisted stocks.

OVERHEAD ABSORPTION is the term used for describing the transfer of value from a fixed asset such as a building or machine to the final product. In this way the indirect costs of the entity can be assigned to the products or services supplied.

WHEN-ISSUED, in securities, is a transaction made conditionally because a security, although authorized, has not yet been issued, e.g, new issues of stocks or bonds, stocks that have been split and Treasury securities are all traded on a when-issued basis.
